The Cinema Designer and D-Tools Integration

AV system integrators and installers face a multitude of challenges associated with specifying and designing home cinema projects. Manual and labour-intensive processes can often times cause inaccuracy in designs and projects to come in over-budget. To avoid such risks, The Cinema Designer and D-Tools have partnered to provide a powerful, time-saving, more technically accurate method of designing and specifying home cinema and media rooms, further streamlining the process from initial concept and design through installation.

Export to D-Tools now available for all TCD design projects

Any TCD project can now be exported in a 'CSV' file format specially designed to be imported into D-Tools System Integrator 2017.

D-Tools export

Each design located in your TCD account history has now has an 'Export CSV to D-Tools' button.

All equipment specified within the design will be exported; Speakers, Processor and Amplification, Electronics, Screen / Projector / Flatpanel and Seating.

Locate the design you wish to export within your account page and click to download and save your csv file - the file is ready to go, just save it for import into your D-Tools Project.

Within your D-Tools software your exported TCD file is an "import" integration, meaning that data comes from TCD into D-Tools, there is no setup needed.

The only required step is to create a project in D-Tools, then import the Project_Items from the TCD export (csv) file.

See the D-Tools documentation for more details.
